is what I have found to work best for sending your tracks
to me for recording: 1) Email an MP3 of your song to me, so we can communicate on what direction will be taken on your tune. After we talk, then . . . 2) . . . computer users can export 3 mono .WAV files as individual tracks and send to me on a data CD or thru the Internet, such as: a. your main instrument, e.g., acoustic or lead guitars, keyboards; b. a click track with tempo settings and count off (if possible); and c. a vocal track You can send me as many instruments as you want but I can get the job done with the above tracks. VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure you export your tracks at zero dB and from the beginning of the song to the end, just like it appears on your computer screen. 3) If you use another format to record, you can still get drum tracks from me to be able to import back into your recording project. ADATS . . . Send an ADAT tape. Not your original one, but a copy with a click track on Channel 7 and your music on Channel 8. Then I can give you 6 tracks of drums . . . a dry mix for your own tweeking. 4) If you use an audio workstation such as Roland, Korg, Yamaha, Fostex, send me a stereo .WAV file with your click on one side and music on the other. Or, if you can export and import audio, send me individual tracks as stated in #2 above. 5) I like to keep communications open so I can give you exactly what you want for yor song. Whatever your format is, I'm sure that I can deliver your drum tracks fast, easy and most of all affordable!!! 6) I have high speed cable for sending MP3 stereo mixes over the Internet, too. If you have any questions on this procedure, please email me or call 615-969-5218 and I'll walk you through it. |
